Loose Family News Januray 2008
Dear Friends,

Don, Nancy, Donnie, and David Loose send you greetings and best wishes for a happy new year. Thanks for your interest in our lives and our ministry.

Fellowship Baptist Church
October 1st marked the official transition from missionary staff to pastoral staff at FBC. To serve in this capacity is a tremendous privilege, and we are grateful to God for the joy and stability that this transition has brought to our lives. Don's primary areas of ministry are teaching and worship. TEAM (for men), Celebrate Recovery, and a community group that meets in our home are Don's main avenues for teaching. Nancy teaches a children's class each Sunday.

On the Home Front
We remodeled a large downstairs room which is now caled "Don's office." We dragged this project out over many months, gutting the room completely. It still lacks one thing: painting the trim. During demolition we discovered under the paneling a message written by the original owners. It indicated that the house was built in 1961, and that the paneling was added in 1973. Yeah, I'd say it was time for a face lift.

Chickens
When not remodeling, Don builds chicken coops. We currently have 44 birds, not counting those in the freezer. Years ago we raised rabbits. The rabbits were always eating their cages and never once did that leave us any eggs. Yeah, chickens are way better than rabbits.  The boys love them too.

Compassion
We have sponsored needy children for over 16 years through Compassion International. Most recently Don has become a Compassion Advocate, representing the ministry of Compassion International. Compassion is dedicated to freeing children from poverty in Jesus' name. We wholeheartedly encourage you to join us by sponsoring a child. For just $32 per month you can truly make a difference in the life of one child. Just click the banner below.

We wish you all a superb 2008! Feel free to contact us by e-mail by clicking HERE. God bless you!
